The purpose of the Dollars for Doers Program is to encourage our employees and retirees to volunteer for their favorite non-profit organizations and provide one of the benefiting organizations a grant on behalf of the employee. The Dollars for Doers program is funded by Wisconsin Public Service Foundation, Inc.
Employees and retirees who volunteer at nonprofits of their choice can earn up to a $300 grant per year. The grant can be donated to one qualifying nonprofit organization of their choice. The qualifying organizations are the same ones that are eligible for the Matching Gift Program and must be located within the company's operating territory and must be tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
The program focuses on organizations assisting with arts and culture, community and neighborhood development, human services and health, and the environment. Contributions to faith based organizations are not eligible for inclusion in the Dollars For Doers program at this time.
The Dollars For Doers fiscal year is January 1 through December 31. Requests will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until the program's annual limit is reached.
An employee or retiree needs to submit a Dollars For Doers request form to the program coordinator by December 31 of each year.
