Google PowerMeter™
WPS and Google are testing a new online tool called Google PowerMeter™. The goal is to save energy and help the environment.
With Google PowerMeter, energy users visit their own iGoogle page to see how much energy they've used at any hour of the day or week. Fifty WPS customers, mostly WPS employees and their friends and families, are trying it out.
By teaming up with Google, WPS is using technology in new ways. And the great news is, it could help energy users understand and reduce their energy use. If they reduce their use, they can also reduce their impact on the environment.
In 2010, we'll be evaluating how helpful Google PowerMeter has been and whether to promote it to all of our customers.
