Apply Now for the 2010 Agribusiness/Forestry Scholarships

Available for 2- and 4-Year Programs

Agribusiness/Forestry Scholarships are now available from the Wisconsin Public Service Foundation, Inc., for the 2010 academic year. The Wisconsin Public Service Foundation provides the Agribusiness/Forestry Scholarship Program to help young people in our service territory develop skills and leadership abilities related to farm employment and farm management.

A combination of four-year non-renewable college scholarships ($1,000) and two-year non-renewable technical college scholarships ($500) will be awarded on a competitive basis. A committee consisting of professional agricultural leaders chooses scholarship recipients.

To be eligible for this scholarship program, applicants must:

  1. Be graduating from high school in the current academic year.
  2. Meet the admission requirements of the selected university or technical college.
  3. Be the son/daughter of a customer with a voting residence in Wisconsin Public Service Corporation or Upper Peninsula Power Company territory.

You can apply for the Agribusiness/Forestry Scholarship by simply filling out the application. The completed application must be received by February 1, 2010, to be eligible.

Award winners will be notified of their selection by mid-April. Scholarship monies will be sent directly to the award winner's college or university, and applied directly to school costs associated with the beginning of the 2010 Fall term.

Area high school guidance counselors will also be informed of this scholarship opportunity.
