Step 1: Clearing and Grading. The right-of-way is prepared for construction. Sections of pipe are laid along side of the right-of-way.

Step 3: Protective Coating. Each welded joint is wrapped with a protective coating. Each pipe length is coated when it is produced at the manufacturer.
Step 4: Trenching. The pipe is lifted and placed on the bottom of the trench.
