By combining two cross-town operations facilities in an effort to improve customer service and response time, Wisconsin Public Service is building an environmentally friendly and energy-efficient Operations Center in Rhinelander.
To build a 76,000 square foot state-of-the-art operation facility on the east side of the city of Rhinelander in Oneida County in Northern Wisconsin. The facility will be constructed using Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) guidelines.

WPS employees involved with the new Rhinelander LEED Building put their hand stamp of approval in the cement walkway near the entrance to the newly constructed operations center on the east side of Rhinelander.
Following seven months of construction, the new WPS Rhinelander Service Center is starting to take shape. Completion of the project is scheduled for this summer.
Groundbreaking for the new Rhinelander Operations Building was on August 19, 2008, with representatives from Wisconsin Public Service, Hoffman Architechts, Miron Construction and local officials.
To combine the two WPS Rhinelander Operations building. The result will be a faster, more coordinated customer service response.
