In its role as an environmental steward, WPS continually researches emerging technologies that have the potential to provide energy in an environmentally friendly manner. Solar power is one such technology.
- SolarWise® for Schools
SolarWise® for Schools is a solar energy and education program offered within the Wisconsin Public Service service area. The goal of this program is to install solar-electric systems on high schools and educate students about solar power. - Green Bay Service Center
Wisconsin Public Service installed a 12-kilowatt solar power plant at its Green Bay service center in 1993. It is a photovoltaic system that is capable of generating enough electricity for approximately three homes.
