The Beluga Elegance from Thailand, arrived in the port of Green Bay in late October, loaded with parts for the Weston 4 Power Plant now under construction.
The Beluga was fully loaded with prefabricated duct work, including primary and secondary air, economizer, emission control ductwork, secondary windboxes and five Pulverizer castings for Weston 4. Pieces were packaged together for shipping.
The onboard crane offloaded the ship's cargo, including emission control ductwork for Selective Catalytic Reduction (NOx removal) and the Spray Dry Absorber(Scrubber).
The ship's cargo was loaded onto semi flatbeds for the approximate 100-mile trip from Green Bay to the Weston Power plant south of Wausau.
There were 112 truckloads of equipment on the Beluga shipped to the Weston Plant site.
The Beluga Elegance from Thailand features a large cargo space and two cranes for offloading. Another ship, from Romania, with boiler parts and piping is expected to arrive in the port of Green Bay within the first few weeks of November.
