Response Rewards
The Response Rewards program is split into three pricing levels:
- On-Peak occurs when energy prices are higher, usually due to increased energy use.
- Off-Peak occurs when energy prices are lower, usually during times of lower energy use. By shifting your energy use to Off-Peak hours, you can reduce your energy costs.
- Critical-Peak occurs when energy prices are extremely high. This usually occurs when there is extra high demand on the electric load, such as during extremely hot or cold weather. You will want to use a minimal amount of electricity during these Critical-Peak periods. View the Critical-Peak Hours Year-to-Date
If you choose to participate in Response Rewards, you will be contacted by your preferred method (i.e., pager message, text message, e-mail or fax) at least 1 hour before a Critical-Peak period begins. Then we'll notify you in the same way at least 30 minutes prior to the Critical-Peak ending. Critical-Peak hours, lasting between 2 and 8 hours per period, account for less than 3 percent of all annual hours.
