Three-Tier Time-of-Use
Three-Tier Time-of-Use (formerly Time-of-Use Rewards) has three pricing levels:
- On-Peak occurs when energy prices are higher, usually due to increased energy use.
- Off-Peak occurs when energy prices are lower, usually during times of lower energy use. By shifting your energy use to Off-Peak hours, you can reduce your energy costs.
- Shoulder-Period occurs when electric use is moderate. During this time you'll pay the same price for electricity as the standard rate.
If you choose to participate in Three-Tier Time-of-Use, you'll save money by avoiding energy use during the On-Peak hours and shifting your use to the Off-Peak hours. However, for those times when you can't shift all your energy use to Off-Peak hours, you'll know that using energy during the Shoulder-Period is the next best option.

* These holidays are around-the-clock savings days: New Year's Eve, New Years Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, the Friday following Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day.
