Our environmental stories

• Helping peregrine falcons
  Peregrine falcons nest on top of WPS facilities in Green Bay and Rothschild.
• Bald eagle viewing

• Award-winning help for endangered butterflies
  In 2010, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service recognized WPS for protecting the Karner Blue Butterfly.
• Partnership with WDNR
  The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and WPS partner to improve fisheries.
• Combustion products: recycling and beneficial use
  WPS sells and uses most of its combustion products, which include fly ash, bottom ash and FGD gypsum.
• Restoring former gas plant sites
  WPS restores areas where plants historically manufactured gas for heating and lighting.
