The United States Environmental Protection Agency published effluent limitations guidelines (ELG) in 40 CFR Part 423 to establish wastewater discharge limitations for steam electric power generating facilities. Wastewater discharge requirements and limitations applicable to Wisconsin Public Service facilities are included in permits issued by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WDNR). The ELG rule requires Wisconsin Public Service to provide a publicly accessible internet site to post certain ELG rule compliance information, such as notices and certifications. In compliance with 40 CFR 423.19(c), those notices and certifications will be posted on this webpage.
