Since 1964, Wisconsin Public Service Foundation has awarded more than $4.8 million in scholarships to students from Northeastern and Central Wisconsin. At the Foundation, we believe that building on the tremendous potential of our young people is well worth the investment.
A variety of college and technical college scholarships are available to students who live in our service area, which include:
- WPS technical college scholarships
This scholarship provides graduating high schools seniors with financial assistance to continue their education through enrollment in certain Wisconsin Technical Colleges. Recipients may elect a one-year technical diploma or two-year associate degree program in an energy-related field.
- Tim Howard Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship was established in honor of Tim Howard's outstanding contributions to the community, his instrumental role as a line electrician at WPS, and his commitment to the education of young people. Applicant would be a high school senior pursuing a degree in the Electrical Power Distribution program at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College.
- UW-Green Bay Phuture Phoenix Scholarship
This scholarship recognizes a student who was a participant of the Phuture Phoenix program and will be attending the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay.
- WPS Foundation daughters and sons scholarship program
This program provides college scholarships to children of active and retired employees of Wisconsin Public Service, WEC Business Services, Michigan Gas Utilities and Minnesota Energy Resources.
