Wind Power

WPS has been investing in wind power for more than a decade.

• Crane Creek Wind Farm
  WPS owns and operates a 99-megawatt wind farm near Riceville in Howard County, in northeastern Iowa.
• Lincoln Wind Energy Facility
  Fourteen large wind turbines in Lincoln County, WI, are making electricity for WPS customers.
• Glenmore Wind Energy Facility
  In early 1998, WPS built its first two wind turbines on a ridge south of Green Bay. We wanted to determine the feasibility of generating electricity from the wind in Wisconsin.
